Winter wheat Statna

The winter wheat variety 'Statna', developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Institute of Plant Production, is a reliable asset for farmers who prioritize stable yields and manageable crop maintenance. This soft wheat variety is specifically bred for the Ukrainian climate, offering a balance between winter hardiness and high production efficiency.

Field Performance and Durability

Standing at 80–90 cm, this wheat variety offers excellent resistance to lodging, which significantly simplifies harvesting operations even in adverse weather. With a winter hardiness rating of 7, 'Statna' reliably survives the winter season, maintaining a productive stem density of 4.5–5.0 million per hectare.

Yield and Grain Quality

• Potential yield: up to 10–11 tons per hectare.
• Grain traits: 1000-kernel weight of 40–45 grams; gluten content of 25–30%, meeting high milling standards.
• Vegetation period: 90–100 days.

Disease Management and Care

As an awned variety, 'Statna' demonstrates strong natural resilience. It shows good resistance to powdery mildew, which helps streamline the fungicide application strategy. The pre-harvest interval is only 7 days, allowing for flexible scheduling of final field treatments before harvest. This combination of agronomic traits makes it a highly predictable choice for intensive cultivation.
