The hybrid corn SOLAKING is a three-line medium-early variety with a dent-type kernel, intended for grain production. It is characterized by rapid early plant development, which facilitates successful adaptation to various climatic conditions. The plants have a compact type, well-developed root system, and exhibit the Stay Green effect, ensuring prolonged retention of green mass and high productivity even under adverse conditions. Late flowering and high resistance to diseases such as stalk rot, ear fusarium, and gummy ear blight make this hybrid a reliable choice for farmers. Morphological features of SOLAKING include a medium-high plant with wide leaves and a long, thick, slightly conical ear with 14-16 rows of kernels and 36-42 kernels per row. The kernel has an intermediate type, closer to dent, with yellow upper and orange lower portions. The vegetative period ranges from 101 to 117 days, corresponding to a medium-early maturity period. The hybrid is included in the State Register for the Central Chernozem and Lower Volga regions, where it demonstrated high yields — averaging 83.2 c/ha and 61.6 c/ha respectively, with maximum values up to 122.3 c/ha. The recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions: 70-80 thousand plants per hectare under sufficient moisture, 60-75 thousand/ha under unstable conditions, and 60-70 thousand/ha under insufficient moisture. The hybrid exhibits spring cold tolerance, drought resistance, and lodging resistance, allowing effective use in various agroclimatic zones. Grain moisture at harvest is approximately 20%, facilitating subsequent processing and storage of the harvest.
