Slava Unavi

The winter soft wheat variety 'Slava Unavi' is distinguished by high yield and resistance to adverse conditions such as drought and diseases. This variety is recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions. The thousand-grain weight ranges from 42 to 48 grams, indicating the grain's size and quality. A key feature is the high protein content in the grain — from 13.3 to 14.8 %, as well as gluten content — from 28.1 to 32.9 %, which ensures excellent baking properties.

'Slava Unavi' exhibits high field resistance to major wheat diseases such as powdery mildew, brown rust, septoria, and snow mold. This significantly reduces yield losses and enhances yield stability under various climatic conditions. The variety's yield exceeds 11.5 tons per hectare, making it attractive to agricultural producers.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to prepare the soil properly before sowing, using cultivators in combination with harrows or rollers. The optimal seeding rate is 4.5–5 million germinating seeds per hectare, which corresponds approximately to 200–220 kg. Sowing is carried out at the end of September to the beginning of October, at a depth of 3–5 cm, with rolling and row spacing of 15 cm. It is important to monitor pests, diseases, and weeds during the vegetative period. Harvesting is performed when the grain is fully ripe with moisture content of 14–17 %.
