Wheat Etela

Maximizing Yield Potential with Etela

Etela winter wheat by Limagrain is a premier choice for farmers focused on high-intensity production systems. Developed in France, this variety is engineered to deliver exceptional performance, with yield potentials ranging from 7 to 10 tons per hectare. Its primary advantage lies in its physiological structure: a short, sturdy plant height of 40–50 cm, which provides superior resistance to lodging. This allows for aggressive nitrogen management, a key requirement for achieving top-tier yields in modern cereal farming.

Built-in Resistance to Combat Rust

In regions prone to severe disease pressure, the Etela variety acts as a natural shield. It possesses strong genetic resistance to yellow rust and brown wheat rust, significantly reducing the dependency on emergency fungicide applications. By maintaining a healthy flag leaf for an extended period, the plant ensures optimal grain filling, which is essential for maximizing both quantity and the thousand-grain weight of the harvest.

Why Ag-Producers Choose Etela:

• Yield Predictability: Designed for intensive management, it consistently performs in the 8–10 t/ha bracket.
• Harvest Efficiency: The short stem height minimizes lodging risks and facilitates smooth harvesting operations, reducing grain loss.
• Input Optimization: With built-in disease resistance, producers can optimize their crop protection budget, targeting treatments only when necessary.

Etela is the go-to solution for professional agricultural enterprises that prioritize high-input efficiency and need a reliable cultivar capable of handling the challenges of modern, intensive farming.
