Description KUBANSKIY 250 MV
KUBANSKIY 250 MV — this is a medium-early hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.), developed by the Kuban Selection Center and included in the State Register for the North Caucasus region. Plants of this hybrid have medium height and medium-width leaves. The ear is long, weakly conical, with a short stalk and a large number of rows of kernels. The kernels are toothed, with yellow-orange coloring of the upper part, and the plant stem has medium or strong anthocyanic coloring. The hybrid is intended for grain production and is characterized by stable yield, which in the region amounts to approximately 53 c/ha. KUBANSKIY 250 MV is characterized by early maturity, allowing harvesting at the end of August — beginning of September, which is particularly relevant for the central climatic zone of the Krasnodar region. Harvesting moisture of the grain varies within the range of 10.9–22.9 % depending on the harvest date. The recommended seeding rate is 60,000 plants per hectare in the central zone and 40,000 plants per hectare in the northern zone of the region. The hybrid outperforms some analogs in productivity, as confirmed by multi-year trials. Additionally, KUBANSKIY 250 MV is suitable for use in livestock farming as feed corn due to its high energy value and good taste qualities. This makes it a universal solution for farmers interested in both grain production and providing quality feed for livestock and poultry.
