Description Parus
Winter hard wheat variety 'Sail' belongs to the medium-early group and meets the requirements of the first class for pasta production. This variety is characterized by high yield potential, reaching 7.3 tons per hectare, and contains 12.5% protein, ensuring high grain quality. Plant height ranges from 95 to 105 cm, and thousand-grain weight varies between 42-56 grams, indicating good grain density and size.

Variety 'Sail' demonstrates resistance to various adverse factors, including lodging, shattering, root rot, septoria, and fusarium, which enhances its reliability and yield stability. Recommended seeding rate is 5 million germinating seeds per hectare with planting depth of 4-6 cm, which is optimal for achieving maximum productivity and plant health.

This variety was developed and approved by the Selection-Genetic Institute of the National Center for Seed Science and Variety Evaluation in Odessa, registered in 1989, and recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. 'Sail' is part of the Odessa breeding school, renowned for its adaptive and high-yielding wheat varieties successfully grown under various climatic conditions in Ukraine and neighboring countries.
