Maize VNC 117 L

Early Maturity and Operational Versatility

For agricultural producers operating in areas with a short growing season or those practicing double-cropping, the VNK 117 L maize hybrid by NPO Galaktika serves as a strategic asset. Unlike late-maturing competitors that require high cumulative active temperatures, this hybrid is engineered to deliver maximum yield in a condensed timeframe.

Agronomic Profile

• Hybrid Type: Intensive, optimized for stable grain yield and high-quality biomass.
• Maturity: Early ripening helps mitigate risks associated with early autumn frosts.
• Versatility: The hybrid performs consistently well in both grain production (offering efficient moisture release) and silage production, providing high nutritional value.

Performance Insights

The core advantage of VNK 117 L is its reliability. In regions with limited heat units, the hybrid displays exceptional seedling vigor, which is critical for establishing a uniform crop stand. It is notably more forgiving regarding minor deviations in planting schedules compared to more sensitive varieties. However, as an intensive hybrid, its true potential is unlocked through proper nutrient management—yield capacity is directly tied to the availability of nitrogen inputs.

Who should consider this hybrid? Primarily, farm enterprises in northern and central regions where the growing window is narrow. Furthermore, it represents a superior choice for growers aiming to optimize their crop rotation, allowing for earlier field clearing to prepare for winter crops.
