Optima Odeska

Winter wheat of soft varieties Optima Odeska is a high-yielding and disease-resistant variety developed by the Selection-Genetic Institute of the National Center for Seed Science and Variety Testing of Ukraine in Odessa. This mid-early variety is characterized by high frost resistance, winter hardiness, and drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. Optima Odeska is resistant to diseases such as brown rust, powdery mildew, and Fusarium ear rot, and also exhibits resistance to lodging and ear shattering, which contributes to maintaining yield and quality.

Agronomic characteristics of the variety include a vegetation period of 259 to 274 days and a seeding rate of 5.0-5.5 million seeds per hectare. Plant height varies from 82 to 90 cm, ensuring optimal growth and resistance to adverse weather conditions. The potential productivity ranges from 59.8 to 68.7 centners per hectare, corresponding to yields of 8.1-11.1 tons per hectare, confirming the high intensity and universality of this variety's use on various agrofond backgrounds.

Grain quality is characterized by protein content ranging from 13.5-14.0% and gluten content of 27.7-28.8%, making Optima Odeska wheat attractive for bread production. The thousand-grain weight is 39.5-44.2 grams, indicating grain size and density. Due to these characteristics, this variety is suitable for cultivation in various regions and ensures a stable and high yield when agronomic requirements are met.
