Description MIP Vizerunok
MIP Vizerunok is a spring wheat variety developed by the Myronivs’k Institute of Wheat named after V.M. Remesla, NAAN of Ukraine, through crossing the varieties Quattro and Struna Myronivs’ka in 2005. It belongs to the erythrospermum type and was registered in the state register in 2019. The variety is characterized by medium earliness, low stature (up to 95 cm), and an intensive growth type, making it optimal for cultivation in the Forest Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine.

MIP Vizerunok is distinguished by high yield — the maximum recorded yield is 6.16 t/ha, and the average over four years of competitive trials is 5.27 t/ha. On the fields of STOV "Peremoga", the variety achieved a record yield of 68 c/ha. It is resistant to lodging, drought, shattering, and germination of grain on stems, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. Additionally, the variety exhibits high resistance to diseases, particularly to powdery mildew, leaf septoria, ear fusarium, root rots, as well as moderate resistance to brown leaf rust and hard smut.

The grain of MIP Vizerunok is characterized by high quality: the thousand-grain weight is 41.3 g, grain density is 765 g/l, and glume adhesion is 97%. The crude gluten content reaches 27.5%, protein — 14.2%, and sedimentation — 51 ml, indicating the variety’s value for producing high-quality flour with a strength of 188 o.a. Due to these characteristics, MIP Vizerunok belongs to the group of valuable wheat varieties that ensure a stable and high-quality yield.
