The P8925 hybrid corn is a versatile mid-season variety designed for grain, silage, and biogas production. It features a dent kernel type and medium plant height with optimal ear attachment, providing good resistance to lodging. Due to its rapid early growth and high water use efficiency, this hybrid demonstrates excellent yield performance under various growing conditions.
P8925 exhibits high drought tolerance and resistance to common corn diseases such as helminthosporiosis and rust. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation across all of Ukraine and is suitable for monoculture as well as minimum tillage systems. It is advisable to avoid late harvest to maintain the quality of grain and silage.
The optimal planting density depends on moisture availability: 70,000–90,000 plants per hectare are recommended under adequate moisture, while 65,000–70,000 under limited moisture. Effective cultivation requires the use of post-emergence herbicides according to crop development stages and adherence to recommended planting dates—early and optimal—avoiding late planting.
