Merydiana

The winter hard wheat variety Merydiana was developed by the company "Peremoga" by combining morphologically homogeneous lines selected from a hybrid population. This variety is characterized by high drought resistance and lodging resistance, ensuring a stable yield of 61 centners per hectare. The thousand-grain weight ranges from 45 to 53 grams, and plant height varies from 85 to 95 cm. The winter hardiness of this variety is above average, enabling successful cultivation under various climatic conditions.

Merydiana is characterized by high protein content — from 14.8 to 17.5%, as well as a significant level of gluten — 34-38%, making it valuable for cereal uses. The variety shows resistance to diseases such as rust, septoria, powdery mildew, and scab, reducing the need for frequent application of chemical protection agents. The recommended seeding rate is 5.0 million germinating seeds per hectare.

Due to its agronomic and technological characteristics, Merydiana is suitable for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, providing high-quality grain and stable yields. Its resistance to adverse factors and diseases makes this variety a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve productive and high-quality wheat harvests.
