"Merezka" is a product of the National Scientific Center "Institute of Agriculture of the NAAS," designed to meet the demands of intensive farming. As a soft winter wheat variety, it has earned a reputation for combining robust yield potential with essential agronomic stability, making it a reliable asset for agricultural enterprises across Ukraine.

Production Metrics

The variety is tailored for performance, with a potential yield ranging from 9 to 10 tons per hectare. With a growth height of 70–80 cm, the plant remains compact and resistant to lodging, even under high-nitrogen fertilizer regimes. The vegetation period spans 280–290 days, allowing for efficient field management.

Resilience and Quality

Merezka's strength lies in its comprehensive disease resistance profile, reducing the need for constant chemical intervention. It demonstrates strong resistance to:

• Brown and stem rust;
• Septoria and brown leaf spot;
• Fusarium head blight;
• Powdery mildew.

With a winter hardiness rating of 8–9 points, this variety performs exceptionally well under fluctuating winter conditions. Furthermore, it meets milling quality standards, offering a thousand-kernel weight of 45–50 grams and a gluten content of 25–30%, ensuring consistency for both grain producers and the food industry.
