KWS Kavalier corn seeds are a mid-early hybrid with very rapid water release and high drought tolerance, ensuring stable yields under various growing conditions. This hybrid is intended for grain production and demonstrates high yield potential up to 16 tons per hectare. Plants are semi-remontant with erectoid leaf type, height ranging from 250 to 290 cm, and ear attachment height varying from 75 to 120 cm depending on growing conditions. Grain is dent-type, with row numbers from 12 to 14 and kernels per row from 33 to 36, 1000-grain weight is 270-300 grams, and grain yield reaches 83-85%.
The KWS Kavalier hybrid is recommended for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia regions of Ukraine, where it achieves maximum potential under intensive cultivation techniques. Recommended plant density depends on soil moisture level: 75-85 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, 60-65 thousand under moderate moisture, and 45-55 thousand under insufficient moisture. Seeds are packaged in 50 thousand units.
In addition to high yield and adaptability to dry conditions, the hybrid is resistant to common diseases such as downy mildew and helminthosporiosis. These characteristics make KWS Kavalier a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality grain with high productivity and resistance to adverse factors.
