Wheat variety LINUS is a medium-maturing, awnless winter wheat variety developed by the German company RAGT Semences. This variety is characterized by high productivity and technological yield potential reaching 90-130 centners per hectare. LINUS belongs to the "Premium A" quality class and is intended for baking purposes. Thousand kernel weight is 45-48 g, protein content is approximately 11%, and gluten content varies from 18% to 28%, ensuring high flour strength (200-260 W). Plant height ranges from 70-80 cm. The LINUS variety exhibits high winter hardiness (9 points) and good drought tolerance (7-8 points), making it adaptable to various climatic zones of Ukraine, including steppes, forest-steppe, and lowland areas. It shows resistance to lodging (8-9 points) and shattering, as well as adaptability to various soil types. Tolerance to root rots, powdery mildew, septoria, fusarium of the ear, and cercosporosis is high, ensuring reliable protection against common diseases and contributing to stable yields. Recommended seeding rates depend on sowing dates: for early sowing — 3.0 to 3.8 million seeds per hectare, for optimal — 3.5-4.3 million, for late — 3.8-4.7 million. The variety is well-suited for regions with sufficient and moderate moisture, and demonstrates acceptable productivity under conditions of insufficient moisture. Due to its characteristics and resistance, wheat LINUS is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality and stable yields.
