Maize ES SKYTOWER

Stable performance: ES Skytower in the field

For agricultural enterprises focused on dual-purpose corn production, selecting a hybrid with a versatile FAO range is a strategic decision. ES Skytower from the French brand Lidea is a flexible hybrid that performs equally well for both grain and silage. Its biological structure allows agronomists to plan their harvest campaigns with greater precision.

Agronomic Advantages

• High Phytosanitary Reliability: The hybrid demonstrates excellent resistance to major threats, including Helminthosporium, Fusarium, and common smut. This significantly reduces fungicide costs and minimizes the risk of yield loss due to ear damage.
• Grain Type: The flint-dent grain type ensures a balance between rapid moisture dry-down during maturation and high starch density, which is crucial for high-quality silage.
• Seeding Adaptability: Recommended plant density ranges from 60,000 to 75,000 plants/ha. This allows for tailoring the sowing strategy based on specific moisture conditions: use the upper threshold on fertile soils with irrigation, and the lower threshold on less moisture-retentive fields to avoid plant competition.

With a maturity period of 120–140 days, this mid-season hybrid is an optimal choice for farms aiming to avoid early frosts while ensuring mature grain by early October. Balanced growth and development provide high-quality vegetative mass, making ES Skytower a sought-after solution for livestock farms that require high-energy silage.
