ES Faraday, a hybrid sweet corn, is a high-yielding and high-profitability variety belonging to the medium-maturing group with FAO 350. Plants reach an average height of about 285 cm, with ears positioned at approximately 125 cm, containing 14-16 rows of silvery-ribbed kernels with about 30 kernels per row. This hybrid is characterized by rapid early vegetative growth and a strong root system, ensuring resistance to lodging and promoting vigorous development in early stages.
ES Faraday demonstrates high adaptability to various climatic conditions, including challenging and adverse weather situations. It is resistant to low temperatures and drought, and tolerant to common corn diseases and soil pathogens, allowing early planting. High germination energy and rapid kernel moisture release during maturation facilitate harvest preparation, reducing time required for aeration and drying.
The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Northern Steppe regions of Ukraine, ideally at soil temperatures of +10 °C. ES Faraday is suitable for both grain and silage use, making it a versatile choice for farmers. However, it should be noted that it is sensitive to herbicides in the 2,4-D group, which is important for proper agronomic management and crop protection.
