Kantegirskaia 89 is a soft spring wheat variety belonging to medium-early and medium-height crops. The vegetation period ranges from 80 to 95 days, allowing the variety to ripen several days earlier than some analogues. The plant is characterized by medium height, semi-erect ears, and resistance to lodging. The spike is pyramid-shaped, loose with medium density, white color, and colored grain. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 33 to 50 grams, indicating the size and good nature of the grain. The variety is distinguished by good bread-making qualities, making it in demand for the production of quality flour. Kantegirskaia 89 is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Central, Ural, and Western Siberia, as well as the subtaiga foothills of the Kemerovo region. The variety demonstrates high resistance to major wheat diseases, such as fusarium head blight, stripe rust, and powdery mildew, which contributes to stable yields. Average yield in the Western Siberia region reaches 24.9 centners per hectare, confirming its economic efficiency and adaptability to local climatic conditions. To increase yield and protect against diseases, the use of the seed treatment agent Viial is recommended, which showed high effectiveness against smut diseases and root rot. The application of this agent under the conditions of Priensieiskaya Siberia allowed increasing the yield of Kantegirskaia 89 wheat by 16.8 centners per hectare compared to the control. Thus, a comprehensive approach to growing this variety ensures high quality and yield stability.
