Kalbex

Winter wheat Kalbex, also known as Quebec 117, is a high-yielding Canadian variety adapted for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine. This variety is characterized by its medium-late maturity and medium stem height. The plant is upright and lodging-resistant, which helps maintain yield. The 1000-seed weight reaches up to 50 grams, providing good germination energy and a germination rate of 94%. The seeding rate varies from 150 to 200 kg/ha, equivalent to 300-420 seeds per square meter depending on planting time.

Kalbex exhibits high resistance to abiotic stresses, including drought, frost, and spring temperature fluctuations. The variety has strong immunity to common wheat fungal diseases such as root rots, powdery mildew, and snow mold. Thanks to these qualities, wheat tolerates adverse weather conditions and maintains high productivity even under unfavorable environmental factors.

The yield potential of the Kalbex variety reaches up to 140 centners per hectare, with an average yield of 80-100 centners/ha. The variety is suitable for both early and late planting, making it a versatile choice for farmers.
