The hybrid features a dent kernel type with starch content exceeding 72%, 1000-kernel weight from 300 to 350 grams, and 14-16 rows per ear with 34-40 kernels per row. Recommended planting density depends on moisture availability and ranges from 65,000 to 80,000 plants per hectare. Traditional and minimum tillage methods are suitable for growing DKC3969, and monoculture cultivation is also possible. Optimal soil temperature for sowing begins at 8 °C.
