Winter wheat variety Capo is a high-yielding and adaptable variety with drought and disease resistance. This mid-early maturing variety features stable yields reaching 6-9 tons per hectare and can successfully grow on medium to low-fertility soils, which is especially important under extreme drought conditions. Due to its high resistance to adverse factors, Capo is a reliable choice for various regions, including Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Sumy, and Ternopil regions. Capo boasts exceptional grain quality, making it the leader in the organic wheat segment in Austria. The grain has a high protein content (>14.5%), raw gluten content (>32%), and high natural density (>840 g/l). The 1000-grain weight is 42-46 grams, indicating grain density and quality. Thanks to its strong baking properties, the Capo variety is widely used for producing high-quality bread and is the main variety for export, particularly to Italy. A distinctive feature of the variety is its excellent tillering ability, which allows for sowing at reduced seed rates, saving resources without compromising yield. Capo belongs to the hard wheat group and is supplied in 25 kg packages. Its high adaptability and stability make it highly sought after by producers, especially in organic farming, where it holds leading positions in the Austrian market.
