Winter wheat Ilias

Genetic Potential and Phytosanitary Resilience

The winter wheat variety "Ilias," developed by the Czech breeder Moravoseed, represents a strategic focus on yield stabilization within fluctuating European climates. The technical core of this variety is its robust genetic resistance to Fusarium head blight, a major challenge in high-yield wheat production.

Technical Specifications and Performance Metrics

• Fusarium Mitigation: The genomic architecture of "Ilias" provides effective pathways to suppress the colonization of Fusarium spp. This is particularly vital in regions characterized by high humidity during the flowering stage, preventing the accumulation of mycotoxins and ensuring that the harvested grain meets premium quality standards.
• Developmental Profile: As a true winter type, the variety exhibits a strong tillering capacity and optimized vernalization response. This ensures uniform crop establishment, even in cases of late sowing windows.
• Lodging Resistance: Moravoseed engineering emphasizes structural integrity. The straw strength of "Ilias" minimizes lodging risks, facilitating efficient harvesting operations and reducing grain loss even when utilizing high-capacity machinery at increased ground speeds.

The implementation of "Ilias" allows farmers to optimize chemical input strategies. By leveraging its natural resistance profile, the intensity of fungicide application can be recalibrated, directly impacting the cost-per-ton of the final product. This variety is tailored for agricultural operations that prioritize production efficiency and yield consistency, providing a reliable foundation for modern intensive farming systems.
