Winter wheat Forest Song

Breeding and Market Context

The 'Lisova Pisnya' (Forest Song) variety is a soft winter wheat developed by the Bila Tserkva Experimental Breeding Station. This variety holds a stable place in the Ukrainian agricultural market, tailored specifically to the country’s diverse agro-climatic conditions. It is widely recognized by farmers as a dependable variety that offers a balance between consistent yield potential and agronomic reliability.

Agronomic Profile and Disease Resistance

The standout characteristic of this variety is its genetic resistance to Fusarium head blight. In regions where high humidity frequently complicates harvest and threatens crop quality, this resilience serves as a significant economic buffer. By reducing the risk of fungal infestation, 'Lisova Pisnya' allows producers to maintain high grain quality standards even under challenging meteorological conditions.

• Type: Soft winter wheat.
• Originator: Bila Tserkva Experimental Breeding Station, Ukraine.
• Disease Tolerance: High resistance to Fusarium head blight.
• Application: Suitable for intensive and semi-intensive cultivation systems.

Unlike transient hybrids, 'Lisova Pisnya' represents a well-tested solution that prioritizes health and stability of the spike. Its reputation is built on years of field observation, making it a preferred choice for growers looking to minimize yield losses associated with climate-driven fungal pathogens without excessive reliance on complex chemical protection strategies.
