Wheat Gromada

Stability and Performance in Intensive Farming

Winter wheat "Hromada" is a high-yield selection by the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute (PBGI-NCSCI), developed for growers who prioritize consistent output through precise agronomic management. With a plant height of 90–100 cm and strong resistance to lodging, this variety allows for the application of intensive nitrogen rates without the risk of crop loss due to weather volatility.

A Phytosanitary Shield for Your Fields

The variety effectively mitigates risks posed by the most aggressive pathogens in the region. Whether facing a damp spring or an extended autumn, "Hromada" demonstrates robust immunity to yellow rust, brown rust, powdery mildew, and septoria. Crucially, its resistance to Fusarium head blight makes it an excellent candidate for no-till or minimum-till farming systems, where pathogen pressure is historically elevated.

Key Agronomic Advantages

• Awned Spike: Provides natural protection against birds and promotes uniform maturation.
• Adaptability: Thrives in regions with moderate to sufficient moisture, consistently reaching its genetic potential in terms of thousand-kernel weight.
• Response to Fertilization: Excellent response to split nitrogen applications, allowing agronomists to manage grain quality during the vegetative stage.

By selecting this variety, farmers gain a predictable tool for enterprise planning. "Hromada" does not require specialized agronomic interventions beyond standard practices, making it a rational choice for both large-scale holdings and family farms looking to optimize fungicide costs without compromising product quality.
