Developed by the National Scientific Center "Institute of Agriculture of NAAS", the winter wheat "Fortetsia Poliska" is a response to the needs of farmers working in unstable climatic conditions. Registered in 2020, this complex hybrid demonstrates a rare plasticity for intensive varieties, allowing for stable yields in the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia zones of Ukraine.

Agronomic Profile

Unlike many highly specialized varieties, "Fortetsia Poliska" combines an intensive growth type with high adaptability. The medium-height plant with a semi-erect bush habit features a strong waxy coating on the flag leaf and the upper internode, serving as a reliable barrier against moisture loss and overheating. The pyramidal, loose, red-colored ear reaches a significant length, which, combined with a high 1000-grain weight (45–50 g), ensures excellent threshing results.
