DUET — a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) characterized by medium maturity and intermediate height. The plant has an erect bush and a pubescent ear, with egg-shaped grains weighing between 34-40 grams per 1000 grains. The variety is resistant to lodging and drought, ensuring stable development under moisture-deficient conditions. It is recommended for cultivation in the Ural and Western Siberia regions, including the Chelyabinsk region and the Altai Krai. The average yield of the DUET variety ranges from 27.4 to 33.8 centners per hectare, indicating its high productivity. However, the variety is susceptible to a number of diseases such as stem rust, brown rust, powdery and solid bunt, as well as powdery mildew. To protect crops from these diseases, the use of specialized fungicides is recommended, ensuring effective pathogen control and plant health preservation. To protect DUET wheat from fungal diseases, it is advisable to use the fungicide Duet containing pyraclostrobin and epoxiconazole. This preparation in the form of a suspension-emulsion has a wide spectrum of action against powdery mildew, septoria, fusarium, and other dangerous grain crop diseases. The fungicide application rate is 0.75-1.75 liters per hectare, which allows for effective crop protection and increased yield.
