The Dubravka wheat variety belongs to the intensive type and is recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe, steppe, and poles regions of Ukraine. It has a medium-early maturity period with a vegetation period of 88-94 days and plant height ranging from 70 to 85 cm. The ear is pyramidal in shape with medium density, which contributes to good yield formation.
Dubravka is characterized by high yield, with a maximum yield reaching 7.36 t/ha, and an average yield over four years of competitive trials of 5.25 t/ha. The variety is resistant to lodging, drought, shattering, and germination of grain in the ear. It also exhibits high resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, leaf septoria, and Fusarium ear blight, as well as moderate resistance to brown leaf rust.
The quality of Dubravka wheat is high: the thousand-grain weight is 40.4 g, the grain density is 744 g/l, and the flour extraction rate reaches 93 %. The gluten content varies from 28.5 to 29.2 %, protein content is 14.5 %. The sedimentation value is 67 ml, and the flour strength reaches 361 arbitrary units, indicating high flour quality and good baking properties of the variety.
