The winter wheat variety "Diana Bilozerkivska" is a medium-early erythrospermum (glutinous) variety with high adaptability and resistance to various adverse factors. It is characterized by medium height and strong grain quality, ensuring high bread-making properties. The variety exhibits high winter hardiness and resistance to diseases such as Fusarium head blight, powdery mildew, rust, and septoria, as well as to drought and grain shattering.
"Diana Bilozerkivska" is recommended for cultivation in the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia regions, where it demonstrates stable high yields. The yield potential reaches 9.9 t/ha, with average yields across different zones ranging from 5.2 to 6.8 t/ha. The grain of this variety is distinguished by high test weight (approximately 800 g/l), high glassiness (98%), raw gluten content from 31.0 to 36.0%, and protein content ranging from 14.0–15.6%, confirming its strong bread-making qualities.
For optimal cultivation, a seeding rate of 5 to 6 million viable seeds per hectare at a sowing depth of 3–5 cm is recommended. The best preceding crops for this variety are peas, vetch-oat, and annual grasses. Application of mineral fertilizers at rates of N60P60K60 kg/ha promotes maximum productivity. The variety "Diana Bilozerkivska" has been included in the Ukrainian plant variety registry since 2015 and is a reliable choice for obtaining high-quality grain under various soil-climatic conditions.
