Arsantto

The hybrid sweet corn Arsantto is a mid-season simple hybrid with a dent-type kernel, intended for grain production. It is characterized by high resistance to lodging and adverse weather conditions, ensuring stable yields even under unfavorable climatic conditions. Recommended for cultivation in western, central, north-eastern and southern regions, with optimal planting density of 70-75 thousand plants per hectare under sufficient moisture and 60-65 thousand under insufficient moisture. The seed package contains 80 thousand seeds.

Arsantto features high yield potential, reaching up to 200 centners per hectare, and demonstrates excellent performance in various areas, including Volyn and Lviv. Morphologically, plants reach a height of 290-320 cm, with ears attached at a height of 110-130 cm. Ears contain 16-20 rows of kernels, with 34-40 kernels per row, resulting in a total kernel count of 480 to 640. The 1000-kernel weight varies from 360 to 420 g, with protein content at 8.9% and starch content at 73.9%.

The hybrid exhibits high tolerance to a range of diseases, including stalk rots, downy mildew, helminthosporium, and fusarium. Additionally, it is drought-resistant, cold-tolerant, and shows the "stay green" effect, promoting prolonged green mass retention and improved grain quality. These characteristics make Arsantto a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sweet corn yields.
