Wheat Dmitriivka

Genetic Potential and Adaptability

The winter wheat variety "Dmitrivka" from the breeding and seed company "Terra-Yug Ukraine" is an intensive-type cultivar focused on achieving consistently high yields within Ukrainian steppe and forest-steppe zones. The breeding strategy behind this variety prioritizes plasticity, enabling the crop to effectively realize its potential even amidst significant fluctuations in spring temperature and moisture regimes.

Agrotechnical Development Features

The development type of the "Dmitrivka" winter wheat involves a complete vernalization cycle, ensuring strong tillering capacity and the formation of a highly productive stand. Agronomic analysis highlights the following key features of the variety:

• A high coefficient of productive tillering, which helps compensate for crop thinning in case of unfavorable overwintering conditions.
• Resistance to lodging due to a robust straw structure, a critical factor when applying intensive nitrogen fertilization.
• Uniform crop maturation, which minimizes harvesting losses during combine operations.

Practical Potential

Integrating "Dmitrivka" into crop rotation strategies allows agricultural enterprises to mitigate risks associated with common foliar diseases, thanks to its genetically embedded immunity to major grain crop pathogens. The variety responds exceptionally well to intensive cultivation technologies: the application of growth regulators and timely fungicidal protection allow the ears to reach their full potential, meeting grain quality standards for food production. Choosing this variety from "Terra-Yug Ukraine" means investing in a locally adapted product that has undergone rigorous field testing in the region's specific soil and climatic conditions.
