Clad is a winter wheat variety distinguished by high yield and adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions. It is characterized by thousand-grain weight exceeding 50 grams, high protein content over 13.4%, and significant levels of crude gluten, reaching 26.5–35%. This variety is suitable for farmers aiming for maximum grain output per hectare, with potential yields ranging from 7.1 to 12.8 tons per hectare depending on growing conditions.

The Clad variety exhibits high resistance to extreme drought, frost, and various diseases, making it a reliable choice for the forest-steppe and Polissia regions. It demonstrates enhanced heat and cold tolerance, as well as resistance to lodging, shattering, and seedling emergence. A distinctive feature of this variety is its ability to accelerate development and biomass accumulation when sown at later dates, expanding agronomic possibilities. The ear is large and elongated (12–14 cm), medium density with 22 spikes per 10 cm of stem, cylindrical in shape with white or yellow coloration upon ripening.
