Wheat Celebrity

French breeding for reliable yields

The «Celebrity» wheat variety from Florimond-Desprez Veuve et Fils represents the French breeding school's response to the primary challenge facing modern farmers: achieving predictable results in volatile phytosanitary conditions. This spring wheat variety is tailored for growers who prioritize genetic resilience over intensive chemical intervention.

The core advantage: Comprehensive immunity

Unlike many varieties focused solely on input-driven intensity, «Celebrity» demonstrates a rare balance between yield potential and spike health. Its primary strengths lie in a robust resistance profile against key pathogens:

• Yellow and Brown Rust: the variety provides a strong barrier even during high-pressure seasons.
• Septoria: maintains foliage activity longer, which is critical for grain filling.
• Powdery Mildew: reduces the need for early-stage chemical applications.
• Fusarium head blight: a vital factor for ensuring both grain yield and quality.

Who is «Celebrity» for?

This variety is an optimal choice for farms located in high-risk infection zones or those looking to reduce their pesticide reliance. Backed by the Florimond-Desprez breeding heritage, this wheat thrives on fertile soils when optimal planting windows are respected. While «Celebrity» requires diligent agronomic management, it rewards the grower with stable yields and minimized disease-related losses, making it a dependable asset for your agribusiness profitability.
