Wheat variety «Albidum 28» is a spring soft wheat bred by Russian breeders from the Federal Agrarian Scientific Center of the South-East. This mid-early variety has a vegetative period of 71 to 87 days, allowing it to adapt successfully to various climatic conditions. The grain is oval, white in color, with a long awn, while the ear is cylindrical of medium density with a straight shoulder and a short slightly bent tooth. The weight of 1000 grains varies between 33-39 grams, indicating good seed quality and yield potential.

The «Albidum 28» variety is distinguished by high drought and heat resistance, making it one of the best options for cultivation in arid regions such as the Lower Volga. It has high resistance to lodging, which helps preserve the harvest under unfavorable weather conditions. Despite susceptibility to solid head smut, brown rust, and stem rust, the variety is affected by these diseases later compared to other varieties, increasing its reliability from an agronomic standpoint.

Baking qualities of the «Albidum 28» variety are rated as satisfactory, with protein content of about 15.2% and raw gluten of 40.4%. Bread volume from this wheat reaches 1010 ml, confirming its suitability for producing quality flour and bakery products. It is recommended for cultivation in left-bank zones of Volgograd and Saratov regions, where the variety demonstrates high yield and stability.
