Description SIVERSKAYA 2
Vika «Siverksaya 2» is a winter (overwintering) wheat variety specifically developed for cultivation in moderately-continental climatic zones. The variety is distinguished by its high yield potential: under optimal conditions it can reach 8 to 9 t/ha, and in some cases up to 30–35 t/ha, making it one of the most productive winter wheat options.

Key characteristics include resistance to major diseases: powdery mildew, root rot, and fungal infections (sepsis, fusarium), as well as protection from gray mold and leaf rust. This ensures a stable yield even in unfavorable climatic conditions. The grain is large, dense, white, with a medium protein content of about 12%, making it suitable for both industrial flour production and home use.

Optimal sowing times are late September–early October (15–20 days after autumn), with soil temperature from 5 to 10 °C. To achieve maximum yield, moderate fertilization is recommended: 120–140 g/ha of nitrogen, 80–100 g/ha of phosphorus, and 30–40 g/ha of potassium, along with adherence to irrigation and soil loosening regimes. The variety withstands cold conditions up to –15 °C and maintains high yields at higher temperatures up to +25 °C, making it a universal choice for a wide range of regions with a moderately-continental climatic zone.
