Vetch Fortuna

Securing Feed Stocks: The Fortuna Vetch

The 'Fortuna' common vetch variety is the product of extensive breeding work by the Siberian Federal Scientific Center of Agrobiotechnologies. Developed for harsh climatic conditions, this variety directly addresses the agricultural sector's need for a consistent, high-protein forage crop. The originator maintains close collaboration with international partners, including the French branch Av Du Capitaine N Tchorere, highlighting a rigorous scientific approach to preserving the plant's genetic potential.

The primary focus during the development of 'Fortuna' was adaptability. The crop delivers outstanding performance in regions with risky agricultural conditions, where other legumes often fail to meet expectations. Farmers highly value this variety for the predictability of both its green mass yields and seed production.

Technical Specifications and Application

• Forage Utility: The core specialization of 'Fortuna' is the production of high-quality hay, haylage, and green mass rich in plant-based proteins.
• Climate Resilience: The variety has successfully passed trials in Siberian regions, demonstrating resilience against sharp temperature fluctuations and moisture deficits during critical growth phases.
• Soil Compatibility: The crop is undemanding regarding soil composition, making it an essential tool in crop rotation that helps naturally enrich the soil with nitrogen.

'Fortuna' represents the choice for those focused on intensifying livestock production through superior feed quality. The variety significantly minimizes the risks associated with crop failure, making it a strategic asset for operations aiming for high-quality, sustainable livestock output. Reliability is the main competitive advantage of this variety over international alternatives, which often require much milder climates to perform effectively.
