The Star vegetable pea variety is distinguished by high yield stability under any growing conditions. Plants reach a height of up to 70 cm, and peas have a diameter of up to 9 mm. The maturation period is about 45 days, which allows for a quick harvest. The yield of the variety varies from 0.3 to 0.7 kg per square meter, making it a universal and effective choice for gardeners.

This pea variety has high cold resistance: seedlings withstand frosts down to –6 °C, which expands the possibilities for its cultivation in various climatic conditions. Moreover, Star is not demanding on soil fertility and is capable of enriching it with nitrogen thanks to root nodules, which contributes to improving the structure and fertility of the arable layer. These properties make the variety not only high-yielding but also beneficial for the soil.

Star pea is valued for its nutritious qualities. It is rich in proteins, dietary fiber, vitamins B1 and C, which positively affects metabolism, the immune system, as well as the condition of skin and hair. At the same time, the calorie content of the fresh product is low — about 75 kcal per 100 g, which makes it a useful and dietary product. Peas can be consumed both fresh and canned, while most beneficial substances are retained.
