Monaco F1 broccoli cabbage is a late-maturing hybrid developed by the Dutch selection company Syngenta. The plants are compact with a strong root system, enabling successful cultivation across all regions of Ukraine during the spring-summer season. For early harvest, planting in greenhouses or under agrovilene and plastic cover is recommended. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to elevated air temperatures, making it particularly valuable under variable climatic conditions.
The vegetation period ranges from 70 to 80 days after transplanting seedlings, depending on agronomic conditions. Plants form dense, compact heads weighing from 1.5 to 2 kg, maturing simultaneously. After harvesting the main flower heads, broccoli can produce new shoots, contributing to increased overall yield. Thanks to its well-developed internal head structure, the fruits are free of bitterness and do not crack during transport, ensuring high product quality.
The Monaco F1 hybrid has high resistance to bacterial diseases and tolerance to fusarium, guaranteeing stable yields under various growing conditions. The cabbage is suitable for cultivation both in open and protected ground. It is widely used fresh, in culinary applications, and for processing, including long-term freezing. Its excellent taste and high transportability make this hybrid popular both in fresh markets and for industrial use.
