Honey Popeye is a mid-early sugar pea variety with a maturation period of 55-65 days. The plant reaches a height of 70 to 100 cm. The pods of this variety are slightly curved, blunt, light green, about 10 cm long, and contain 5-7 smooth peas. The pod walls are thick and fleshy, giving them a sweet taste without tough tissues, making them particularly pleasant to eat.
Young pod-cutter with undeveloped seeds is used for food, which is a valuable dietary product. Honey Popeye is rich in proteins, sugars, starch, vitamins C, B1, B2, B6, PP and carotene, which helps to strengthen health and maintain immunity. Thanks to its taste and nutritional qualities, peas are widely used in fresh form, as well as suitable for canning and freezing.
For growing the variety, early spring sowing is recommended on the sunny side of the plot at a depth of 4-6 cm with a row spacing of 15x30 cm. This approach provides optimal conditions for plant growth and development, allowing for a high-quality and abundant crop.
