Vegetable Pea Vera

VEGA pea is an early-maturing variety with a harvesting period of 48-63 days from full emergence to technical maturity. The plant has a simple stem 55-65 cm tall, and pods are straight or slightly curved, 6-9 cm long and 1.2-1.4 cm wide, containing 6-8 seeds. Green peas at technical maturity are uniform in size and have excellent taste qualities both fresh and after canning. The yield of the variety is from 0.7 to 1.2 kg per square meter.

The VERA variety is valued for stable yield, uniform ripening, and plant resistance to lodging, which facilitates care and harvest collection. It is recommended to grow peas in sunny areas with a sowing depth of 4-6 cm and a pattern of 15x30 cm. Plants need support for proper growth and pod formation. Thanks to its characteristics, the variety is suitable for both fresh consumption and canning.

Peas in general are a popular crop due to their sweet taste and beneficial properties. They are rich in fiber and protein, making them a valuable source of plant protein, especially for athletes and vegetarians. In addition, peas have a diuretic effect and are used in folk medicine as decoctions. In children's diets, peas help strengthen bones and muscles, making them a useful and nutritious product for the whole family.
