Wild cabbage Naomi F1

Technical Insights into Naomi F1 Hybrid

The Naomi F1 hybrid by Kitano Seeds is engineered for consistency and industrial efficiency. Drawing on Japanese breeding expertise, this mid-late cabbage variety is designed specifically for growers supplying the processing sector.

Morphology and Growth Metrics

With a maturity cycle of 80–90 days from seedling transplanting, Naomi F1 offers a predictable harvesting window. The plant features a robust, healthy leaf structure that shields the heads from environmental stress. The distinctive grey-green coloration is indicative of a thick, protective wax layer, which is crucial for maintaining plant health under variable field conditions.

Industrial Utility

The flat-round shape of the heads is a key functional design element, ensuring efficiency in commercial shredding and processing lines, where yield loss must be minimized. Each head weighs between 2.0 and 3.0 kg, a size profile that is highly optimized for logistical handling and retail packaging. Given its storage capacity of 1–2 months, Naomi F1 is best positioned for operations that prioritize high turnover and immediate processing rather than long-term cold storage.

• Optimized for automated processing lines and shredding.
• Uniform head weight (2.0–3.0 kg) ensuring product standardization.
• High-performance genetics by Kitano Seeds for reliable crop resilience.
