Venera

Venus radish is a mid-season vegetable with a period from full emergence to the beginning of technical maturity of 55-60 days. The plant forms a semi-upright leaf rosette of medium height with green, dissected leaves of medium length, having weak pubescence and insignificant waviness and serration of the edges. The root is flat-shaped with a concave base and an intense reddish-purple skin coloration. The pulp of the root is yellow, juicy, tender and sweet, which ensures good taste qualities. The average mass of the root is 150–200 grams, and the marketability reaches 85%. The Venus variety is characterized by high yield — 3.4–4.0 kg per square meter, which makes it suitable both for growing on household plots and in commercial conditions. The radish is characterized by resistance to flowering and good winter storability. Important indicators of the variety are dry matter content at 9-10%, total sugar 6.5-7.5% and ascorbic acid about 60 mg%, which additionally highlights its nutritional value and quality. This variety was bred and registered by Russian scientific organizations, which confirms its adaptation to various climatic conditions of regions of Russia. Venus differs not only in its attractive appearance and excellent taste qualities, but also in stable yield, which makes it in demand among vegetable growers. Thanks to its characteristics, Venus radish is a universal product suitable for fresh consumption and storage.
