Turnip CAPITOLINA

Practical Guide to Growing "Kapitolina" Turnip

The mid-season "Kapitolina" variety from Euro-Semena (Евро-Семена) is designed for growers who prioritize consistent, market-grade vegetable production. Developed under the expertise of Yuriy Dmitrievich Tarasov and the Euro-Semena team, this variety stands out in the Russian market as a reliable option for those looking to balance yield with high consumer appeal.

Agronomic Profile and Farm Utilization

"Kapitolina" is distinguished by its unique coloration, featuring a blend of purple, red, and white hues. This striking appearance, combined with a uniform, rounded shape, makes it highly suitable for commercial packing and retail distribution. The durability of the root during handling is a significant advantage for farms optimizing their supply chain.

• Internal Quality: The flesh is white, characterized by a tender texture and high juice content, free from woody or fibrous structures.
• Culinary Application: The delicate, non-bitter taste makes it a premium choice for fresh salads and various culinary applications, meeting the demands of health-conscious consumers.
• Production Standards: As a mid-season variety, it allows for efficient planning of the harvest cycle, helping farms manage their labor force effectively.

For best results, growers should focus on maintaining consistent soil moisture. The juiciness of the "Kapitolina" root is directly linked to water availability during the development stage. Standard agronomic practices, including timely weeding and maintenance of a healthy soil structure, will ensure a uniform crop that requires minimal sorting effort, thereby increasing your operational efficiency at the end of the season.
