Turnip Purpurlepop

Technical Profile of the Root Crop

The 'Purpurlepop' turnip by the 'Svityaz' brand is a mid-early hybrid engineered for high-quality production within a tight timeframe. The vegetation period spans 45 to 50 days, allowing for efficient harvest scheduling. The flat-round geometry of the root crop is an optimal design choice for mechanical cleaning and industrial processing, significantly reducing material waste.

Morphological Features and Sensory Quality

The root color palette exhibits a gradient transition: from purple and pink hues on the crown, which sits above the soil level, to a crisp white base. This pigmentation pattern is an adaptive response to solar exposure. The internal texture consists of dense, white flesh that retains high succulence even when reaching weights between 60 and 200 grams.

• Biochemical Profile: An elevated sugar content ensures a dessert-like sweet taste, devoid of the bitterness often found in wild turnip varieties.
• Technological Versatility: The product is suitable for both the fresh market segment and deep industrial processing.
• Mass Stability: An average weight of 200 grams under standard agronomic conditions allows for predictable yields per unit area.

This hybrid displays significant adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions. The consistency in shape and organoleptic properties makes 'Purpurlepop' a reliable solution for both private gardening and small-scale farming operations.
