Tulip Yvonne

Operational insight: Cultivating «Ьвоннэ»

For growers handling the «Ьвоннэ» cultivar, a Triumph tulip class, the primary advantage is consistency. As a mid-season flowering variety, it behaves predictably in both greenhouse forcing and field conditions. Its uniform development cycle is a major asset for operations aiming to standardize harvesting timelines and minimize sorting losses.

Technical maintenance and crop management

• Structural integrity: The plant maintains a reliable medium height, with a stem architecture that avoids lodging. This allows for optimized planting density without the need for manual support structures.
• Forcing requirements: Being part of the Triumph group, «Ьвоннэ» demands strict adherence to cooling protocols. Deviations in the rooting phase will directly impact the stem height uniformity, which is critical for mechanical harvesting operations.
• Disease and moisture control: The variety responds well to standard fungicidal pre-planting treatments. However, it requires careful drainage management; excessive substrate humidity often leads to basal rot, which can significantly decrease your ROI.

Maintenance of this crop is straightforward, fitting well into standard tulip cultivation protocols. From a logistical standpoint, the dense flower head and vivid lilac color hold up well during post-harvest storage and transport, provided the bloom is harvested at the color-break stage. It offers a balance between durability and ease of processing, making it a professional choice for commercial greenhouse operations.
