Tulip Blue Champion

A Benchmark in the Triumph Class

The 'Blue Champion' tulip has firmly established itself as a reliable cornerstone within the Triumph category. Known for its sophisticated lilac hue and structural integrity, this mid-season bloomer is a preferred choice for both commercial flower production and professional landscaping. It represents a balanced evolution in bulb breeding, prioritizing both visual appeal and environmental hardiness.

Field-Proven Resilience

What differentiates 'Blue Champion' from many other ornamental varieties is its robust genetic resistance to key fungal threats. For commercial growers, this reduces the dependency on intensive fungicide programs. The variety shows consistent performance against:

• Anthracnose: A major concern for bulb health which 'Blue Champion' successfully resists.
• Downy Mildew (Peronosporosis): Maintains foliage integrity even during humid growing seasons.
• Powdery Mildew: Demonstrates a significant defensive barrier against leaf-surface infections.

Market Positioning and Utility

The variety is characterized by its average height and strong, sturdy stems, ensuring that it stands upright during unpredictable spring weather. The deep lilac color of the petals is notably color-fast, maintaining its aesthetic quality throughout the blooming period. Because of its excellent vase life and resistance to transit damage, 'Blue Champion' remains a top performer in the cut-flower market, offering growers a reliable product with high commercial value.
