Tulip Zampa

Genetic Profile and Resilience

The Zampa tulip belongs to the Greigii class, a classification defined by its compact stature and remarkable tolerance to environmental stressors. Unlike tall hybrids, Zampa’s low-growing habit minimizes transpiration surface and wind resistance, ensuring that the root system remains stable and protected throughout the vegetative cycle.

Phytosanitary Defense

Zampa has been specifically engineered for robust field health, demonstrating innate resistance to critical fungal pathogens:

• Fusarium (Fusarium oxysporum): The bulb’s dense physiological barrier effectively inhibits mycelial penetration.
• Root Rots: The optimized metabolic activity within the rhizosphere prevents the establishment of soil-borne infections.
• Anthracnose and Alternaria: The dense cuticle of both foliage and petals acts as a physical shield against spore germination, significantly reducing the dependency on prophylactic fungicide applications.

Morphology and Flowering Dynamics

The visual signature of Zampa is its sophisticated dual-tone pink and cream coloration. Its mid-season bloom time allows for seamless integration into production schedules or ornamental landscapes, bridging the gap between early and late bulb varieties. Due to its dwarf size, it is a superior choice for containerized gardening and foreground planting, maintaining structural integrity without the need for support systems.
