Tulip Saigon

Elegance of the Triumph Class

The 'Saigon' tulip occupies a confident niche in the mid-season flowering segment, enjoying stable demand from both professional florists and landscape designers. Belonging to the Triumph class, this variety combines a classic goblet-shaped bloom with exceptional hardiness, characteristic of modern Dutch breeding lines.

Biological Potential and Resistance

One of the key features of 'Saigon' is its phytosanitary resilience. Unlike many varieties that require aggressive plant protection protocols, this tulip demonstrates natural immunity to the most dangerous pathogens in floral crops:

• Fusarium wilt — minimal risk of root system infection;
• Anthracnose and Alternaria — the dense texture of the petals and foliage inhibits the development of fungal infections;
• Tobacco mosaic virus — the variety exhibits high resistance, maintaining the purity of its color.

Decorative Qualities and Application

The plant's visual profile is defined by a deep lilac shade, which retains its saturation throughout the entire flowering period. Thanks to its medium height, 'Saigon' is ideal for creating dense spring flower beds and borders, where uniformity and resilience to spring temperature fluctuations are paramount.

In the market, this variety is valued for its vegetative predictability. Its mid-season flowering cycle allows for seamless integration into forcing schedules, ensuring the availability of high-quality cut flowers in the middle of the season. It is the choice for those seeking a balance between aesthetic appeal and reliable agronomic performance.
