Tulip Black Jack

Reliability and Aesthetics for Professional Floriculture

The Triumph class tulip 'Black Jack' is a top choice for agricultural producers focused on cut flowers and professional landscape design. Its primary value lies in the combination of a deep lilac hue and robust physiological resilience, which minimizes the risk of losing commercial quality under greenhouse or open-field conditions.

Agronomy and Crop Protection

This hybrid exhibits high resistance to key pathogens that typically threaten bulbous crops. In production cycles, 'Black Jack' effectively combats:

• Verticillium wilt, which often causes losses in 'tired' soils.
• Fusarium wilt, allowing for reduced reliance on intensive fungicide applications.
• Cladosporium, which affects foliage during high humidity periods.

This disease resistance makes it a highly viable option for intensive growing systems, where maintaining the health of planting material over several seasons is essential.

Scenarios for Application

The medium flowering period allows 'Black Jack' to bridge the gap between early and late-blooming varieties, ensuring a continuous product supply. Its medium stem height and sturdy peduncle simplify mechanical harvesting and subsequent logistics. In commercial farming, the variety is prized for producing high-quality cut flowers with excellent vase life. It is also highly sought after for landscaping; due to its dense bud structure and vibrant, saturated color, the hybrid maintains its shape perfectly even under variable weather conditions.
