Tulip Zantutorp

A Reliable Choice for Late-Season Landscapes

The 'Zantutorp' tulip (Zantutorp) is a distinguished member of the Single Late class, serving as a reliable staple for professional flower growers across Europe. Originating from Dutch breeding programs, this cultivar has earned its place in the market by offering a perfect balance between visual impact and agronomic stability. It is the go-to variety for those seeking a high-performing crop that delivers consistent, high-quality blooms even in challenging growing environments.

Genetic Resilience and Health

What sets 'Zantutorp' apart in a crowded market is its superior disease resistance profile. By minimizing the risk of failure caused by soil-borne pathogens, this variety significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications. Its genetic makeup provides robust protection against several critical threats:

• Verticillium wilt;
• Tomato mosaic virus;
• Fusarium wilt;
• Cladosporium.

This natural defense mechanism allows growers to manage their fields with greater confidence, leading to higher yields and reduced loss of stock.

Commercial Value and Application

As a tall-stemmed variety, 'Zantutorp' provides a striking presence in both landscaped garden beds and as a commercial cut flower. Its deep red petal color is highly sought after by florists, and because it is a late-blooming tulip, it allows producers to extend their market presence well into the end of the spring season. The combination of structural integrity, disease resistance, and a striking color palette makes 'Zantutorp' an essential asset for any commercial tulip operation focused on long-term efficiency and visual excellence.
