Tulip Zizanie

Operating Guidelines for Zizanie Late Double Tulips

Managing the Zizanie variety requires precision, particularly when handling its long stems and heavy, complex blooms. As a late double tulip, this variety functions best in well-drained, nutrient-rich soils. The primary operational challenge is maintaining stem rigidity; proper spacing is essential to ensure adequate airflow, which prevents fungal issues and promotes uniform growth across the planting bed.

Maintenance and Cultivation Best Practices

• Growth and Support: Due to its significant height, Zizanie thrives when protected from high-velocity winds. If integrated into an automated nursery system, ensure that moisture levels are monitored via sensors to prevent the stem from softening, which compromises harvest efficiency.
• Bloom Aesthetics: The striking red and white petal pattern is the standout feature of this hybrid. To maximize the visual quality of the flowers, consider light shading during the peak sun hours to prevent premature fading of the white sections of the petals.
• Harvest and Durability: This variety is prized for its robustness during the post-harvest phase. Its dense, double structure makes it exceptionally durable during shipping, provided that the cold chain is maintained consistently.

Regular maintenance of Zizanie involves balanced potassium and phosphorus application during the vegetative phase to solidify the plant's structure. By keeping the soil structure loose and well-aerated, you significantly reduce the physical effort required for maintenance and increase the overall yield of high-grade, premium-quality tulips.
