Tulip Van der Neer

Technical Profile and Morphological Traits

The 'Van der Neer' tulip is a classic representative of the Single Early tulip group. From a cultivation standpoint, this variety is valued for its stable genetics, providing predictable results in both forcing and open-field production. Its short stature is a major mechanical advantage, ensuring high resistance to lodging during wind and heavy spring rains.

Disease Resistance and Adaptation

A primary technical benefit of this hybrid is its robust genetic immunity to major bulb-limiting pathogens. The inherent resistance to downy mildew (peronospora) and powdery mildew significantly reduces the need for intensive fungicide application. Under high-moisture conditions, 'Van der Neer' exhibits fewer susceptibility issues than other early varieties, ensuring higher survival rates and cleaner bulb yields.
